Frozen Fairy Tale at the Falls
With the recent hit of wickedly cold temperatures to Niagara, the majestic icy facade surrounding the Falls has returned! All three waterfalls - the Horseshoe Falls, Bridal Veil Falls and American Falls - are framed in ice and snow making for the perfect winter photo-op! While it is very cold, a common misconception is that the Falls freeze over, when in fact that is never the case. The waterfalls themselves continue to thunder while their surroundings boast icicles and snow.
With temperatures ranging in the -30 Celsius, the ice bridge has officially formed and Niagara has become a winter wonderland. Take a look at the photo below to see what we mean, or plan a visit and take in the beauty with your own two eyes!
